Okay, we're here at Instinct with Sean who's actually both French and American
0:07
He's got some very incredible packs. He's the founder of the company and the designer of Belts Packs
0:13
Sean, tell us about your brand and a few of your products. Yeah, well first of all, thanks for the interest and thanks for passing by
0:21
Instinct, we launched our first product in 2016, our first pack. Instinct is a highly specialized company focused on pure performance, trail packs and products
0:36
Our key focus and all the designs or products are based on three main pillars and that's
0:45
ergonomics, function and accessibility. All our packs sit high for greater liberty of movements
0:54
All packs have similar technical traits, whether it be the rain pockets, they're easy
1:02
to access over your shoulder for quick access and storage of the rain jackets
1:08
Different pole systems that are accessible on the back or on the front, easy to access
1:13
pockets in the back, up front. Hydration, soft plastic set up high up front, so very easy to drink, greater space for storage
1:24
of nutrition. On the bottom, as you can see, the pockets are all independent
1:29
We don't have overlapping pockets that can hamper the ability to get soft plastic back
1:35
in, feed or things like that. All our packs also use our famous side elastic lacing system
1:44
This hits a couple of birds with one stone. The first thing is that it really adapts, the packs adapt to all body types
1:52
It eliminates bounce and because it's elastic, we get no constraint in terms of breathing
1:57
which means that the packs can fit close to the body, but you have that ability to be
2:03
able to breathe easily. These are really key features that are recognizable with Instinct packs all along their product line
2:14
We go from a 3, 4, 7, 10, 12, 18, 24 and a 40 liter pack
2:20
That's the one I got my eye on, look at that. Products that are very specific to each discipline
2:27
And here we've got lots of front storage as well. This is a one of a kind pack, really specialized for those who are going to be going out for
2:34
self sufficient events or runs. For example, people who are going to do ski touring, mountaineering, fast and light hiking
2:44
It's a real performance product. It's a 40 liter pack and it's got a proprietary elastic lacing system on the side
2:51
It's got a special side lacing system that allows you to be able to run and breathe freely
2:59
And at the same time, you can lock it out if you need to, if you have skis and you don't
3:03
want any movement. So really a performance pack that sits up high and I say that carries 40 liters
3:10
And as on many of our packs, what's very important is having quick access to storage
3:17
Okay, noticeably, we use this type of door that really allows you to be able to get in
3:23
and out very, very quickly. So this is a key feature on many of our packs, is this back door
3:31
So nine different packs and we also have a very unique belt
3:34
Oh, let's take a look at the belt you showed me earlier. Ah
3:40
So this is a best seller and a belt that really pleases many of the different athletes of
3:46
all levels, intermediary, beginner and also very much the elites. We're always looking for something that's very minimalist, that has segmented storage
3:54
that doesn't bounce at all, even if you have the equipment needed to go out for an 80K run
4:01
So six pockets, overlapping pockets, okay, with quick, easy access. Look at that
4:07
On the side and on the back, this protected design that I came up with for a tubular system
4:15
to be able to put in your poles one at a time or both at a time
4:19
Okay, very, very important. When you go in here, it comes out this way
4:24
You don't need to go fishing around and get trying to achieve those elastic bands
4:29
And more here too. So if you don't, so how much water can I carry in there
4:33
So sometimes I'll do a, for example, a 50 miler. Yeah. Okay
4:39
I'll go with the two 600 milliliter soft blasts. Yeah. In the back
4:43
One in the back, one in the front. Yeah. I got my cell phone, my safety kit. Yeah
4:47
Okay, gels, things like that. And if you're not using the poles here, you can also stash a rain jacket or something
4:52
Okay, okay. So it's a very, very unique breathable. Yeah. As I say, it's not going to bounce
5:00
And what is the price in Euros for the belt? So in dollars and in Euros, it's 45
5:06
That's reasonable. Very reasonable. So it's the only one in the market, as I said, that has this proprietary design, a back pocket
5:13
And this really makes a huge difference about the poles. And having six pockets for segmented storage, which means that when you pull something out
5:22
it's not all going to fall out. And the other thing is we don't have any stitching
5:27
Like on the front, for example, you just take this tab and you open and you access. And you got all of it
5:31
Plus you got that organization. You see the yellow mesh? Yeah. It means you know you're going in the right pocket
5:37
Ever have a phone and you put it in between the belt and the short and it falls out? Yeah
5:42
So it's a clue. Yeah. You know where you're going. Now tell me, in what countries are we available with Instinct
5:49
So Instinct, we're all across France, all across Europe, sorry. Basically all over Europe
5:55
We're in all of Asia and Southeast Asia. So we cover Japan, Korea, Australia, the Philippines
6:03
So it's there. And then we jump across. We're in South Africa. Yeah
6:07
And then we're up in Canada. Yeah. And starting this fall, we're hitting the States. Ah, great
6:11
So a lot of people will be able to discover the brand in detail at the running event in
6:20
Austin in late November. Super. So for those who are not in one of the 26 countries where we sell, where we have retailers
6:30
and reporters, we do sell direct online with instinct.com. Okay. And to the US as well? Yeah. Excellent
6:37
We sell a lot of products to the States right now. Yeah. And I'd say basically this fall, shops and retailers will be able to supply consumers
6:44
in the States. Thank you very much, Sean. Wonderful. I'd never really seen the brand and it's really neat what you're doing
6:51
Best of luck. Thank you.
